David and I went over to Lister Bell with a Luton Van and collected this:

 

 

And these (amongst other stuff):

 

 

Fitted nicely in the van:

 

 

Luckily had a third helper to get it back out:

 

 

And now I need to work out what to do with all this!

 

 

Will be Sunday before I get to go through all the bits and work out an initial plan of action.

 

Massive thanks to David Whalley for storing one of the Lotus and for helping me collect stuff today and taking pics as I was too wrapped up in getting it all sorted and back home.

I have to say it's a good looking chassis. However, after helping to move 2 S1 chassis last night I can say that this one is fooking heavy in comparison. About twice the weight I reckon. But I suppose if does have subframes and a 'roof' on it.

All up the completed car should around 900kg. Half of that will the chassis and wheels I don't have them yet but they must be the heaviest wheels in the bloody world!

Also the Lister Bell is 16F and 17R not 15 all round.

When I saw the cars at Lister Bell yesterday and another almost complete car on the way home in Kegworth (dropping some bits off to another Lister Bell builder) it reminded me why I want to do this.

Managed to get a couple of hours in this afternoon opening all the boxes and checking / logging what I have.

So apart form the chassis I have:

Fuel tank, VDO level sender and stainless 'floor' panels for engine bay.




Main radiator




Hubs/bearings

Air con rad



Lots of aluminium panels




Bits of the heater system




Rad fans and brackets (x2)




Ali header tank




Steering column bracket (stainless)




Gear Mech for box (stainless)




A thing




Gear linkage and handbrake linkage bits




Shocks and adjustable top plates for the rears




Front ali CNC uprights




CNC Steering arms




Rear ali CNC uprights




Steering rack and CNC brackets




More ali panels




Master cylinders




Pedals




Fuel filler cap, neck, roll over valve, breather and hoses
