JonS
We could always do the daylight version of the midnight run from last year. Those were some amazing roads. http://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/index...showtopic=24555 Google maps... http://tinyurl.com/d2mev2 2nded - should include Horseshoe pass in that as well. Fantastic climb. Evo is superb. Never been to Bala Lake, but have been on the other roads around there and love it. Definitely gets my vote. jez o
Is this still on Sunday 7th June? If so, me and Rach will be up for it. Personal preference is Wales.
Deleted_User
Yep, 7th of June is the date... Just waiting for a couple of run suggestions to come forward
JonS
Well, depending on how long people want the run, this route that I did last week is fantastic! Two day'er though if it is to be used as a run in whole. Click Can be modified to insert/remove bits if preferred. My 2 cents.
Neil
Wasn't there a poll somewhere? I can't find it anymore, but last time I looked the majority vote was for a midlands based run. There's no reason why you couldn't do another Wales run as well, but IMHO if you want this to be the "2009 big meet" you'll get more people to come along if it's in their own back yard. Wales has some great roads, but is too far for some people. Likewise weekends away - great fun but this will definately rule quite a few people out. I think the 'big meet' should be midlands based, and a second run to wales could/should be organised as well (from what I gather in the early days of MLOC there was a run almost every month!) The only route I know is the one I previously organised, shown below. I know GCCK had several other routes from past runs - I think I've got copies of these, if so I'll post up the maps. /2p

Chorlton
The route Neil posted was quite good if I remember it was the one where we finished outside PTP in Hinckley.
CHOPPA
Good decision Scott. Midlands sounds like the sensible idea and Neils suggested run looks perfect. My 2p's worth CHOPPA 2 pence provider
Neil
You're right - started in Somerfields in Hinckley (just off the A5, it's a Tesco now) and finished at PTP. That route would need a bit of fine tuning as there were a few new estates and roundabouts not on the map and it confused the sat nav. And most of the people on the run
G
If that is a good route in the midlands, then lets do it, as scott said its not a B road blast but a big meet to get as many people in our club together... dont start too early though its an hour and a half for me to the start i am itching to get a wales run together if people want to do that
