The were rumors of a spider or targa version of the Evora, but it is a discovery version of the Exige S unveiled in Frankfurt in 2011 as Lotus Lotus on the stand at Palexpo. It makes sense - although speculative at this stage - to find under the bonnet the same 3.5-liter V6 delivering 350 hp at 7,000 rpm / 400 Nm at 4 500 r / min.

Wheels far too big. I guess it is what they think the punters want these days. Styling not unpleasant but not anything to write home about either.

I remember the first time I saw the s2 Elise. I was at the motor show (remember that?) when I happened upon it - Lotus kept it a secret, and it blew me away. Still does every time I pop in to the garage for a quick smoke. In fact now I have mentioned it, I shall pop for one now....

I agree with martin.

it looks more "super car proportion" with the longer back end to fit the engine in. more like a ferrari. in fact it reminds me a little of the 360 spider, just better looking IMO.

Really not impressed at all. It's lost all of it's aggressive styling and now looks like a toned down Elise.

None for me thanks.

i agree with martin, its an elise...

no way does that or should be an exige....looks nice, but also looks like its gunning for the audi market.....

wasn't expecting this but it's growing on me, just hope they get round to delivering some.

It looks like a grown up Elise to us also. With the V6 in it should go like one as well.

I want one in white with black wheels; Sue likes the showcar blue but with black wheels, hoping Lotus survive long enough to make them and get some out of the factory quicker than the 400 exige v6 that should be on there way

a winner we think whether its an exige "roadster" or an Elise V6
