As I decided to hang back from the main group to get some clear traffic (it worked), didn't quite make it into the garage, but I'm happy with the result 🙂

Got back to my apartment a few hours ago after a weekend driving around the black forest with a company called Delightful Driving. So how did it go. Delightful Driving = good value, well organised and good communication, decent hotels and cafes, nice people. Black Forest = stunning scenery, kilometre after kilometre of twisty roads, but lots of traffic (we didn't leave hotel until just after 9am), villages with 50km/h or 30km/h limits seemingly every 10kms or even less. Difficult to get into a rhythm, and overtaking was a rare pleasure. Would I use DD again, answer is yes. Would I go to the Black Forest again, maybe, but in a small group of people who were prepared to have early (7am) starts i think and off season. All in all though a worthwhile trip, and i got to meet the lovely Elisa Artioli (who the Elise was named after) and she signed my Type 49 Elise. Onwards and upwards to my next driving adventure (did i mention I'm booked on a trip to the Stelvio pass in Sept) 🙂

1st clean since the trip from UK to Germany in mid July and then the Black Forest tour last weekend. Public jet wash as I thought bringing my pressure washer with me would be a step too far. Cleans up not so bad for a 26 yr old car.

Out for a 2hr drive this evening, and this rather nice looking car pulled into the restaurant as well
