It’s been another good year at work so have a little bit of money available to spend on my Exige. I don’t need it to go any quicker so not looking for power upgrades but thinking about one the following…..

1.  Nitron suspension upgrade

2.  Full exhaust system (manifolds/sports cat etc…..)

3.  Forged alloys

4.  Sell it and buy a Porsche 718 GT4 🤣

Or should I just leave well alone and use the money to treat you all to breakfast on the next MLOC Peaks runs?

Answers on a postcard………..

Any contribution to the Mloc northern jolly would be appreciated.

Apart from that, isn't the exhaust on your exige already pretty fruity ?

Upgraded headers and sports cat would finish it off nicely!!!

what suspension are you currently running ?

Of all the upgrades I have added to my S2 the addition of Ohlins from stock bilsteins is without doubt the best upgrade I have made.

wheels I dont think you will notice any difference rather than aesthetically  , Exhaust if you already have a sports set up ditto,

Porsche , i have a 987.2 boxster s which is great for GT type driving, but no comparison to the Lotus, although that GT4 is awelooking, maybe a Alpine R ??

and finally, I am a Bacon and Sausage on brown with a big mug of Tea pls :)

I wouldn't mess with the manifold/cat as it will then need a remap to get the mixture right. The V6 is set up from the factory to run quite rich; to keep the supercharger temps down and prevent pre-ignition. If you weaken the mixture (with a free flow system) then the ECU will retard the ignition to keep pre-ignition under control and you actually end up with less power, and probably a persistant EML light too  That's my understanding, could all be bollocks of course!

Wheels - yes! Buy some lovely forged alloys, preferably in a nice metallic graphite grey. They will look fantastic and if/when you come to sell the car you can put your old wheels back on and sell the forged ones to get most of your money back.  Forged wheels are also a significant weight saving exactly where you need it - rotating and unsprung mass. Some people swear that the V6 steers and rides better with forged wheels.

Another vote for the forged wheels - rotating mass can be seriously reduced, helping with handling.

My cup wheels weigh less than the rubber, just 😎

You already have a car to die for. As for your list of upgrades, I agree that unsprung mass makes difference so the forged wheels are a nice option but consider how much weight you will save per corner. You may find that  a couple of kg ( max) are very expensive kilograms. If I had the spare cash, I would go for a suspension upgrade and top of my list would be Ohlins .

No consideration for driver training, track day booking or trip accommodation??

Driver training: Yes.

Track Day:  Maybe …..

Trips: Yes. A few already planned for this year.

I think suspension and wheels would be a great shout Guy, you MUST get that car on track and I’m happy to come along to supply a bit of tuition, for a small fee of course 😆 partial to cake 🍰
