Need to keep the V5 for the Lister.

Hows that work? Proof of engine age? Surely you won't have enough points to use the Alfa reg on the Lister? :)

I'm currently building an Ultima GTR which uses a modified Chevrolet engine and a Porsche gearbox, both used components and the car, following the IVA will be issued with a new registration number, or a personalised reg..with the appropriate restrictions. All other components are new. There is all the info needed from the DVLA website and more grounded advice from the manufacturers.

If a new monocoque bodyshell or chassis from a specialist kit manufacturer (or an altered chassis or bodyshell

from an existing vehicle) is used with two original major components from the donor vehicle, a replacement registration number will be issued based on the age of the donor vehicle. The vehicle must have IVA, SVA or MSVA. The date of manufacture for the vehicle will be taken from the IVA, SVA or MSVA certificate.

Good luck with the build I will follow with interest.

Engine now delivered to the engine builder - Dave Wells. Dan Webster was there to help unload it - it's a bloody big lump.

This is going to get out of hand - I know it is. Dave's mate runs Brunswick Racing who have built Alfa engines so is going to have a word to see what can be done to get decent power out of it. Dan was re-planting the idea of ITBs and a 'proper' ECU as well a super light flywheel and 7 inch clutch.

I tried not to listed and gave him the gearbox for a complete rebuild.rolleyes.gif

Love this Leigh, you don't do things by halves mate.

Was the shed at Gav's when you dropped yours off? Can't remember if yours was already there when we took it over.

Well if all goes to plan it's being scrapped tomorrow!

Seen the engine.  It a hefty ol' lump.

I agree with Gav, majority of the bits that you seem to want to retain, you are not going to retain - i.e. you are going to replace with new :D

I told Gav he could keep whatever he found. He found 10 cents (Euro) laugh.png
