Laura Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Congrats Mike its gorgeous and I am very glad you are going nowhere Does mean I am officially not going on a Leicester run again now if you are on it, you were hard enough to keep up with in your Elise!!
Martin R Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Is it an S Mike ? Will the rear wing and downforce stop you loosing control of the rear Nice
MikePMC Posted November 14, 2008 Author Posted November 14, 2008 Is it an S Mike ? Will the rear wing and downforce stop you loosing control of the rear Nice Yes mate. It's an S. Unbelieveable difference in the power. Supposed to be 30hp more or so, but it's the pull from 3k thats the big difference. I can over take cars on the motorway in 6th now! I'm going out for another blast! Mike
Ladders Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Bugger, I'll never keep up now! Nice one Mike!
Daniel Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I suppose I better come clean........ I went to see a new car today and bought it! Just got home now! It's not an MLOC'ers car. Had to go all the way to Kent! I suppose you'd like to see a picture?? http://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/uploa..._293_127739.jpg I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE! Mike Yippee!!! You're not going anywhere - You're insane though
Greg.g Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I thought you might have gone for Matt's car Mike. Very nice by the way. You just need the orange fake tan now
Matrees Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Beautiful Exige S, and quite scary i should imagine (From the passengers point of view) Matt
richbk Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 congrats mike, i manged to last 4 days between elise and exige......think you beat me. how much fun are they ))) i no know its wasted advice....but be careful at first, you can carry so much more speed into and around bends than the elise even as a very competant driver this weather can catch you out at the mo enjoy richbk
MikePMC Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 I thought you might have gone for Matt's car Mike.Very nice by the way. You just need the orange fake tan now That was the plan initially, I didn't want to do a swap with Matt unless my Elise was 100% and it wasn't for a while. Clutch, gearbox incorrect ratios, that funny noise at Donnington.... I'm too honest to do something like that. Matt unfortunately sold it before I could get sorted. It worked out well though. It's a 57 plate (oct 07) had 1800 miles on the clock when I bought it (now over 2000 already!!!!) and the poor lad I got it from bought it 2 months ago then got made redundant and had to sell at a big loss. He did 200 miles in it!! The colour is ironic really, you mention fake tan and my biggest client is St. Tropez the "self" tanning company. It's all a bit of a task though!!! I've only just got the car today and unfortunately, tomorrow I'm off to Wales. Evo triangle and the likes tomorrow afternoon, Angelsey track day on Sunday. How unfortunate!!!!!!! congrats mike, i manged to last 4 days between elise and exige......think you beat me.how much fun are they )))i no know its wasted advice....but be careful at first, you can carry so much more speed into and around bends than the eliseeven as a very competant driver this weather can catch you out at the moenjoyrichbkI already understand, been out on my favourite roundabout tonight!! Thanks, Mike
Phil S1 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Well done Mike....I was going to say "normal service has been resumed then" but with you behind the wheel of that, normal would be something of an understatement. Try not to traumatise too many of the Welsh over the weekend
Fiona Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Well done! Can't wait to see you hooning it round a trackday soon.
MikePMC Posted November 16, 2008 Author Posted November 16, 2008 Well done! Can't wait to see you hooning it round a trackday soon. I Fiona. Just got back from Anglesey today. I'll post some video soon! Needless to say, I'm very impressed! Did the Evo Triangle twice on Saturday. It was wet, but it was fun!!!! Who says A048 are scary in the wet. Best fun I've had there I can tell you!! Mike
