MilesH Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Well it's been six months without my elise, can't believe it was April last time I saw it!! I have missed the summer completly and whilst the mx5 has been fun it is definitely no elise imo. (actually if I'm honest I am on my second mx5 since the car went, the first one didn't stand up well to track use and was sold before it was nothing but a pile of parts ). I am hoping to have the elise back by the beginning of December, with its motorsport clams and paint job. It was never intended to be gone this long, but things came up and delays happened, but I'm sure it will be worth it Just wanted to say hello as I haven't posted properly in a while, hope everyone who knows me is well, and I look forward to plenty more Lotus trackdays with you guys next year

Sounds interesting either way...!!

JonS Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 6 months!!! I can barely make it through 6 days when I'm using the wife's car for a week!! Shame you couldnt make it back for Rockingham weekend after next. I always smile as I pass that service station on the Swindon bypass - and that fleating meet up with you and Dan! [stirs the MLOC rhumour mill!]
fentuz Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 you know how to play with the silver one have you modified it since ???
MilesH Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 I always smile as I pass that service station on the Swindon bypass - and that fleating meet up with you and Dan! [stirs the MLOC rhumour mill!] ....and it shall remain a secret between the 3 of us!! Stu - It's the full exige kit (clams, roof, wheels, spoiler etc). Word of warning to anybody considering it, the amount of 'little' bits that also need changing is amazing, the list just kept getting longer (wheel arch liners, roof liner, front grill, rear slates, boot struts, roof rubbers etc etc). I've spent a lot of time hunting around for second hand parts as the prices from lotus were ridiculous, for example a front grill for an exige (same as a 111s) was something like £114 +vat! you know how to play with the silver one have you modified it since ??? maybe.....just a few little bits that I took off the last mx5, harness bar, harnesses, smaller steering wheel, removed the seat cushioning so I can actaully fit in it with a helmet on! uprated front pads, new rear pads and an oil change. All ready to go now
