Mark farmer
Hi I'm new to lotus forum I have a lotus elise s2 k series standard 2001. I was wandering if the car has a oil cooler fitted up front as I have noticed a few drops of oil on the passenger side I'm not sure if it's my car or another kind regards mark farmer
Lithopsian
A standard K-series S2 doesn't have an oil cooler. Some people have fitted them, although not usually up front. I think the 111S had an oil cooler as standard. Are you sure it is engine oil? Could it be brake fluid? Damper fluid?
MrWill
Hello and welcome As above: It didn't have an oil cooler and it would be located there if it did. Have you got any pictures - both of the leak and the car ? Your usual suspects are: a) brake fluid b) damper fluid c) coolant d) washer fluid (?) e) Another car with a oil leak parks in the same spot as you. Good luck MrWill
