Meister Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Well done Ian - I could tell this was starting to drive you nuts!! Mark
DeanB Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Hopefully you've found a fix Ian. Good jod you checked where the yellow dot was when you had them fitted. Doubt I would have sussed that.
richbk Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Hope this is the fix. Not heard of this been a problem on r888 But was definitely a problem on ao48's particulary on track. Due to the high amounts of grip generated. As mentioned tyre soap to aid fitting could have been the problem if driven / braked hard soon after fitting. Hopefully a re- balance now they are bedded in should fix it. You always get more feel through the lotus wheel, it's one if the joys if the car, but wheel wobble is just annoying and should be fixable Richbk
Ian C Posted April 19, 2013 Author Posted April 19, 2013 Put the wheels on today, and, all cured! My Exige is back in wonderful form. So In celebration I have booked a track day next Thursday at Cadwell! I've put some marks on the wheels and tyres so I know if they slip again, I really hope they don't.
scatty Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Although he will be constantly looking at those marks to see of they have slipped... :-) Glad the problems been solved.....
