Tango190
Will the 1983 Lotus Eclat Excel make it to Le Mans there and back ? Was going to go in the TVR, but ... Who would sponsor me at 1p per mile to go there and back in the Eclat Excel I bought on Monday ? Tamworth to Le Mans and back. All sponsorship funds to go back to MLOC - Beefy could then create a new member category of "MLOC 2005 - Contrib members. Continental Car Tours notified and say no prob with change of the vehicle. TVR or LOTUS - MLOC members choice. If I go in the TVR - no gain to MLOC - if I go in the Lotus Eclat Excel MLOC gets some pennies. Anyone available to check the car over pre event - aka Elaine/Reg dad ? Come on guys n gals , I will if you will. Bob TICKER 1. Dobbo (Chris) 2. Martin R 3. Jon Malbon 4. Jonathan E 5. PeterField 6. dobbo
Will the 1983 Lotus Eclat Excel make it to Le Mans there and back ? TVR or LOTUS - MLOC members choice.Bob <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I reckon that's a candidate for a new poll (or 2?). Qn 1 - probably not, without help Qn 2 - Lotus (or you'll be camping elsewhere at Houx Annexe ! Brave if you go for it. IIRC it was around 1000 miles last year ? I'll start at 1p mile if you like, and a bonus of another £5 if you don't need a single roadside repair en-route !!! Chris
Tango190
Great Chris, So, 1000 miles to cover there and back. A simple service done by myself with advice before we go. 1p per mile so maximum sponsorship is a tenner £10 And if there are no roadside repairs (I will be honest) + £5 So I will service before we go, then no service there and back. Can I exclude oil/water top ups ? Not hoses blowing etc. just toppy uppies ? Bob
Martin R
LOL, Im up for 1p per mile. Plus £5 if no breakdowns also £5 if kim or any other MLOC member does not have to push it between Tamworth and Le Mans
