Like i said, i can't see with that bloomin sun! As much as i love it, it needs sorting out.

I know what you mean, it can be a real problem.

 

Not really keen on the eliseparts one though. It doesnt look quite right and when its folded up, looks even worse. It would probably do the job well though.

 

What most people tend to do is keep a baseball cap and sunglasses in the car.

Yes, a pair of profile sunglasses (I think glass index is 3, 4&5 are for ski and are illegal for driving) and a cap...

There's also the option of a sunstrip. Not sure if we're having any made this year, but Dave Ladders is your man if we are.

Oooo. Thanks for the advice. I have some really cool £80 Animal glasses, they look great, but they are really light and aren't that much help in the car. Will have to look for some darker ones.

Go for polorised lenses, I have these and can't praise them enough

Polorised lenses for the win, they are fantastic. I have some in Nike Flexon frames (just in case I sit on them). I even wear them at dusk still - they don't cut out loads and loads of light, but they cut out glare - which is what stops you being able to see properly when driving. They weren't cheap (£170 just for lenses), but they are prescription lenses.

Having broken & scratched too many in the past, a nice £40 pair for me and my Lotus baseball cap does the job usually

 

Not too keen on the eliseparts visor as well, bit of an eyesore. And I'm also not a fan of sunstrips. Personal preference as always.

I got them from the USA when I was holiday there, cost me $180 works out about £95

Hi Jo, if you decide not to get some polarised then ill do you a pair of tinted plano (no perscription) lenses for £10 if you want, i can make the tint as dark as you like! any any colour

 

Oh and livinlavida if you ever need any more polarised perscription lenses i can half that price you paid

Sun strip makes a big difference.

 

Either lotus sport one (solid black one not just the words) or there is talk of an MLOC one.

I'll pm you if i decide to take you up on your offer. Prob wouldn't be untill i got back from America so i can see what they've got nice, but i know Liam needs something too for his eyes. I'll let you know around August.

Another vote for Oakley here. I've had all types of Snowboard goggle and Oakley are the best lenses by far.

 

I have a pair of these Gascans

 

I have the standard Grey lens that just takes the glare off - not too dark. I like to see some of the sun through the lenses if you get what I mean.

 

There is a nice feature on the Oakley web pages which simulates the lenses. Click on the 'lens tints' tab under the picture of the glasses. Having used a range of the lens colours in glasses and goggles I think it's pretty good as far as a computer simulation goes.
