...has Scott been banned? I notice he's posting on SELOC but not on here. I thought it was strange, we've had alot of threads that were Lotus related and virtually none have strayed off topic. I'm just enjoying the calmer, mellower MLOC while he's away

I was down in Loo the other day and spotted this latest Lotus design. Not sure why it was still underwraps. I could have given it a good test drive Bit worried about the design though....I think it would tend to roll a lot especially around the back roads which could get very messy Looks like it's a rear engine design. It should go round the bends really well Dave

Sold some PC Speakers to a guy off SELOC....he came over to my house in an S2000...which I must admit was very, very nice. Fine looking cars, I think. And for a brief minute, I almost wanted one... Its got a boot too! RWD and VTEC. Then I remembered that Malbon made that same mistake, and look where he is now...back in the fold Couple of my old Lupo mates now have S2000 GT's. VTEC this, engine note that... All I say is....Faster, better, noiser

Our friends at Horizon are now a main dealer for Toyo tyres, so a good source for us MLOC members looking for new rubber. Cheap prices too, eg. 195/50 VR15 for £27.66 plus VAT. Next day delivery too. Another string to their bow.

Its something I never thought about at the time, but I vacuumed my interior last weekend and cleaned those ridged footplates and it looked like new...I was well chuffed. Well, what with the warm weather I left the hood off most of the time...only I forgot that I'd parked under a tree the other day... Come back and the tree had shed almost all of its contents into the car I suppose I'm lucky a bird didn't come along and sh*t in it, but still, it looks a right mess...and theres probably a ton under the seats too! Also, I've just ripped my SECOND pair of good jeans on the door pin Is it just me who had this? Although it wasn't as bad as the first time I did…

So anyone here know anything about the golf owners club. Saw lots of golfs in the Donnington Services yesterday. Loads of youths standing around with engine bays open kicking tyres. Strange that most of them were TDI models Why meet up in a services to discuss the merits of a TDI golf and why oh why have your bonet open? You could smell the jelousy as we drove past in the Audi Diesel

In a month we're going for a extended hoon around God's country. I don't want to miss any of the good Highland roads so in 2 weeks we'll be covering upward of 3000 miles at least including the drive there and back. Now what should I take to ensure we don't get stranded or that we can cope with minor issues? So far list includes: Petrol can Errrrr, that's it. Obviously won't be fitting the trolley jack in as I'd like to be able to get our luggage and the roof in the boot at all times. Anyone got any other suggestions? Fiona

Took my car them last week (VW Corrado - the Lotus went last summer). Before it went, it was handling like a bag of spanners, felt like it was going to capsize on every roundabout, now is completely transformed. Diagnosed a gearbox problem, check balance front wheels. Even had a loan car for the day (Rover 420 Diesel - now there's a good definition of 'lethargic'). Then, probably the smallest garage bill I've ever had! Thoroughly recommended. Really seem to know their stuff. I know they've already had loads of positve press here, but it's so rare to find places like that I think it's worth adding to it. Rich.

A few problems appeared during my First Lotus day yesterday. Probally caused by me, and my 'over enthusiastic driving...' Any clues would be appreciated; (the car is an S1 111s Easy one - Boot catch un threaded itself... The catch on the boot is still attached to the boot clip, as if closed, but the fibreglass lid is free to flop up. The metal plate that it screws into is rattling around inside the lid and difficult to align to screw back in the threaded catch... Omminous one - lumpy noise and misfires.... Whilst idling after a circuit the engine made a lumpy noise, a warning light came on then seemed to idle as before but the light stayed on so Andy sugg…

I'm amazed none of you have posted pics / stories about your Le Mans trips yet! How did you all get on then? Always wanted to go, maybe next year eh? Or am I being blind and missed the thread? Steve.
