Track Day Noise Limits

I brought my first Elise last week a 111S 156bhp it is a standard car other than it has a hurricane induction and a Larini club sport exhaust fitted.
I am keen to get it on track asap but am concerned about the db output with this set up.
Does anyone know what sort output noise wise this would give, do you think it would exceed 105db?
Thank you for your help.

I would be suprised if it was over 105. You want it to be 98 or under if you can....

I live in Sutton Coldfield. I have actually just this minute ordered a 'cheapish' db meter. The reason for the 105db is that Cadwell Park is my favourite track ( I am an ex Caterham owner ) and normally the noise limit is the higher 105db.
Thank you for your response though.

The original exhaust came with the car so could change it over, but I do like the sound from this Larini exhaust if I am honest!

I notice your car has the HID headlight upgrade, is this both main and dipped and do you recommend that modification?

Meister - HID upgrade is definitely worth doing as standard bulb's are naff, i will be doing this in the very near future.
From what i can remember most track day limits are between 95 db and 105 db, i would take the reading the db meter you've order gives you with a pinch of salt. I downloaded one onto my phone which read 107/108db on my xr3i running twin 40's, cams and exhaust system (its loud). when tried at a track it only made 93db static and well under 98db (limit of day) on full chat.
find a track with a static sound tester and pop down to them.

Javelin have their own equipment they take with them. The reason I know is my mate is going Sunday to get his scoob tested. Funnily enough as he wants to track it at cadwell....

The backfire when i lifted probably didnt though. However the marshall had jumped about 2 feet in the air and probably missed the reading

Stockhome - Thank you for offering to lend me your db meter - I wished I had waited a couple hours before ordering one!! I have not been impressed with the lights so the HID upgrade appears to be worth doing. Where did you have yours done?
PS- I live off the Penns Lane around the corner from the Ramada Hotel.

I would like to meet up at some point then if that's OK, as I would like to see those HID lights, before I purchase.
I have my car going into Unit4 ( Previous ownerer had some work done by him and recommended ) next week for a few days, C service, cam belt, alternator etc etc When I have had that done may be I could pop round or you could come to mine?
Have you or any of the other guys used Unit 4 for work?
