Lotus Appoints New Retailer for Performance Car Sales and Service in Scotland

  • Park’s Lotus to open in Hamilton this summer for sales and service
  • New Lotus retailer in the west of Scotland for the first time in 15 years
  • Lotus Evora GT410 – the latest model for everyday driving – takes centre stage in the showroom

(Hethel, UK – 29 July 2020) – Scotland has fantastic roads, spectacular scenery… and now an all-new Lotus retailer so performance car fans can make the most of both.

Park’s Lotus is located in Hamilton and will open its doors to sales and service customers during August. It marks the first time in 15 years that Lotus has had a retailer in the west of Scotland.

The new business is part of the long-established Park’s Motor Group, which already represents a number of sports, premium and luxury car companies from sites throughout Scotland and the north of England.

Full contact details for the new Park’s Lotus retailer are:

Park’s Lotus
143-159 Almada St
Hamilton
Glasgow

Geoff Dowding, Executive Director, Sales and Aftersales, Lotus Cars, commented: “This new Lotus sales and service centre in Hamilton is a wonderful addition to our UK network. Despite the challenges of the last few months, we’ve worked efficiently with the team at Park’s to ensure our current and future customers in Scotland have the facilities and support they need.”

Ross Park, director of Park’s Motor Group, said: “We’re delighted to add Lotus to our portfolio of performance car brands. We know it has a proud history and an exciting future, and we’re thrilled to be part of that. Lotus is a valuable addition to the Park’s family, offering even greater choice to our customers.”

The showroom is in the town of Hamilton, to the south-east of central Glasgow. Taking pride of place will be the newest Lotus, the Evora GT410, which has been designed to be a more usable ‘everyday’ sports car. It comes with an enhanced specification over the existing GT410 Sport, providing owners with improved usability and a new level of driving comfort. Numerous features have moved from the Evora’s options list to become part of its standard specification, resulting in exceptional value for money.

Also available through Park’s Lotus are the latest versions of the Lotus Elise, a true performance icon, and the Lotus Exige, a genuine track-day car for the road.

Park’s Lotus will offer customers a full range of financial services products through FCA Bank, the new financial partner to Lotus which was announced earlier this month.

Lotus has always enjoyed a strong relationship with Scotland, through the race team’s links to legendary driver Jim Clark and our support of the Jim Clark Motorsport Museum in Duns, Scottish Borders.

  • Elise S3 Brakes

The brakes on my Elise 240 FE never felt brilliant but at 2.5 years old in the cold and wet did nothing when pressed, a few pumps later and some braking happened. I took it in and the pads (oem from new) were glazed. I replaced them with Pagid RS42 and updated fluid. Difference was night and day.  Now, a year and maybe 3500 miles on and the pedal feel is a little wooden again (like can brake light or hard but nothing in between) and they are squealing really bad at town driving  speeds and lig

Tyre comparison - short note on v105 vs ad08rs

Elise S2 k series with standard geometry so set up to understeer gently. Which is exactly what I've been getting on runs out. Car is on the recommended yoko v105 tyres. There a two types the ones to get have a slightly stiffer sidewall and are recommended for mercs iirc. V105 is in my experience a very competent road tyre for all seasons and daily driving. Definitely recommended. V105 thoughts coming off a no longer available very old and hard and narrower front tyre.  As normal T

Jim Clark 60th anniversary celebration of his F1 championship, Indi 500 win & Tasman series championship

I love the Lotus in the Peak event and it's great to see all the positive posts and pictures of this year's event.  I wasn't there this time because I'd decided to attend the Jim Clark 60th anniversary celebration of his F1 championship, Indi 500 win & Tasman series championship.  This was organised by the Jim Clark Trust and took place at Duns Castle very close to his Scottish home.  It ran on both Saturday and Sunday, so we (six of us) had decided to travel up to Scotland on Friday, have t
