Hi the guys to mention just a few, Ray, Dunc, Paul,  Ray, Rich Marten and all the people behind the scenes for a great weekend.

I never thought I'll be taking my Emira, around these roads with you guys, for a second one, great fun and experience.

Many thanks to all for the brilliant organising and time given.

Great to meet people from last year and making some new friends, from close and afar.

What's up with the Elise?

Apart from the rear discs!

Yep, thanks all. Always good to make the trip back up north.

Guido, was it you I was following for a bit through all that traffic? (Red S2 Exige.)

I’ve got new discs, pads, braided hoses and reconditioned bilsteins to go on

We’ve given it a major service, although have still to tighten the crankshaft to 205nm

We’re wondering if our wishbones are okay (they’re rusty but we’re not sure if they need replacing also) and we could just blast and paint to reuse after changing the bushes

it’s a project to do with my Dad, finding time we’re both free has been the biggest delay!

This is what mine were like and they were refurbed ok - media blasted and then painted. As you can see some bits were really scabby.

Fantastic! Thank you for sharing, very helpful. Very similar to ours

Where did you get them blasted?

I had them done at a place near me in Bilsthorpe Notts. I just found him on google I think.

After blasting and then painting.

That was 4 years ago and a little bit of rust is appearing again.

If I were doing them now I would have them zinc passivated and then put at least 4 coats of POR 15 on instead of the two coats over bare steel that I did back then. I didn't powdercoat as that always chips off.

Looks like we need to start another thread on suspension refresh 😂

It looked like a really great event, and on my doorstep too. I hope to get my car in December, a vivid red Emira 😀
