Looking for recommendations for a mobile mechanic for a K series head gasket change

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'd like to get the head gasket and cam belt changed on my 1999 S1 elise.

I've already removed the rear clam.

I'm looking for a company or one person band who could come to my house to do the job. I have all the parts.
I'm based in the East Midlands but of course willing to pay for the travel costs and of course the hours actually doing the job. I'm not looking for someone to do this as a freebie.
Was hoping someone might be able to give some recommendations

Cheers Badger

Why not ring Gav at Unit 4 and ask him?

Or if Mohammed won't come to the mountain then trailer the mountain to Mohammed?

Gav has fitted two head gaskets for me on two different engines and both have been trouble free. He's changed hundreds.

You can ask him for advice on other stuff while you're at it. 20 years of working on Elises means he knows a great deal more than most folk that post about technical stuff on forums.

I'm going to second Dean's proposal :)  Gav is a great guy, perfect for the job if you can work out a way to get the car (and parts) to his workshop.
