TinHat Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Hi All, Having had my Elise for a whopping 25 years, it is currently producing about 160 bhp. I was hoping to get ITBs etc fitted, and as the car lives in North Wales DVA Power seemed to be a good choice, if not around the corner, but I am not sure if they are still taking work on? Are there many Midlands/NW choices for K Series tinkering? thanks in advance TH
DeanB Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Hi TH I am afraid I don't know of anyone in the North West that knows K series engines and Elises. I do know that Dan Webster at HPE Engineering is good with this sort of thing but he is in Bromsgrove - prob an hour and a half from you but worth the trip I would suggest. I have about 155 bhp I guess in my Rover K s2 Elise and would love a set of itbs but then I would need an Emerald or similar ECU and forged pistons as the standard ones are no good for more than 160 bhp. And that all gets very expensive very quickly! Good luck with it! Dean
TinHat Posted September 6, 2023 Author Posted September 6, 2023 Thanks Dean, I may well drop them a line, my wallet is shaking…..
Martin R Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Dave Andrews only works a day or so a week now. So the wait for him will be very long i would imagine. Dan will sort you out.
Tyler Lawrence Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 For K Series engine tuning and ITB fitting in the Midlands/NW region, consider researching local tuners and reaching out to inquire about their services and availability. Online forums and groups can be helpful for recommendations.
collieek Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Try Sabre heads at Wisbeach, Roger is very good I think he had some involvement with VHPD engines in the first Exige. He made a really good job on the head of my car. http://www.sabre-heads.co.uk/

Exactly what is your current engine (exhaust/ ecu) configuration / mods? 160bhp seems like a lovely place to be for a road biased k-series. " ITB etc " what 'etc' did you have in mind. All the best MrWill
