S1’s in the USA

Just drifting down one of those internet worm holes (no tractor links for me !) as I didn’t realise the S1 wasn’t Road legal in the USA . But that after 25 years they become exempt. Is that correct ?  . I wonder if many will be snapped up stateside and if they will get converted etc .
I also stumbled across quite possibly the worst article ever to describe the Elise ….god bless America

Then there is the photo of the car with it's windows up just below the bit that says it has none.

Too small? The S2 was allowed in which is a little lower and only slightly longer.

Passenger throw out? eh....seat belts......

Too fast?

That big rover engine they dropped into a lightweight sports car …. Think the k might disappoint a new stateside when it arrives and they are expecting half of a big block Hemi
