richbk
Just drifting down one of those internet worm holes (no tractor links for me !) as I didn’t realise the S1 wasn’t Road legal in the USA . But that after 25 years they become exempt. Is that correct ? . I wonder if many will be snapped up stateside and if they will get converted etc . I also stumbled across quite possibly the worst article ever to describe the Elise ….god bless America https://www.hotcars.com/here-is-why-the-lotus-elise-series-1-is-illegal-in-the-us/amp/
duncx
That article is comically bad! The first line sets the scene, "The Lotus Elise Series 1 is a compact vehicle that performs like an SUV. "
PJT
Then there is the photo of the car with it's windows up just below the bit that says it has none. Too small? The S2 was allowed in which is a little lower and only slightly longer. Passenger throw out? eh....seat belts...... Too fast?
