It all seems to be straight forward. I'm in the process of procuring the parts as the insurance have written the car off. I bought it back so repairs are now down to me ( with help from Gav of course )

Yes they have written it off, as above I have a payout which should cover the repairs.

Missed this thread! Sorry to hear of your incident Russ, but hope you're able to get it back on the road/track without too much bother now that the insurance bit has been sorted.

Bugger. I hope you managed to get it for a decent price. At least the chassis is ok, the mechanicals should be easy to sort and I assume the body can be repaired? When I saw it, it was at height so difficult to know how bad the clams are.

The clams are easily repairable according to the guy who does bodywork for Gav.

 

They both only have minor damage.

Shame it was written off but the main thing is you get to keep your car, I would have done the same if mine had gone that way.

 

From memory of the clam damage I would have said they are easily repairable by a competent bodyshop.
