IAN G Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 my 1st service is due (toyota yearly)i ve got the choice between stratstone (leicester) or silverstone lotus , stratstone are quoting me better price would be interested in any views on both dealers (for servicing ) or any alternatives (must be dealer for service history )

Dr H Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 AFAIK you don't need to use a dealer for servicing to keep the waranty valid. It was declared 'illegal' by the EU a number of years back.
MrSimba Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 As long as the garage is 'VAT' registered and services the car in accordance to the manufacturers schedule using 'OE' parts & fluids (or parts / fluids that exceed 'OE') your warrantee is still absolutely valid!

I'd rather travel to a 'specialist' than pay 'stealers' money - last year oil change and visuals ( basic service) £144 at Pure Lotus - the mec used to be at JCT. The saving easily pays for the trip and some time out when there. Theres other places about who know their stuff on Loti too
