Phil, i have been thinking of heat soak ( sad i know ) after your post on SELOC. Have you considered the following

A mod i did on my S1 a few years ago. I used to use it on trackdays on the cooling down lap and also sat in traffic. it must help ? Also

Im sure you can get a light on the switch to work.

 

Im going to do it on my S2 in the winter. The wire colour is different after a quick squint at the S2 K wiring diagram. I think its Brown and Black on the S2

It will burn off the bits left in no time. I think you did it on purpose so you could spend more time cleaning her.

Thanks for that Martin, another mod worth doing at some point. I currently use that blank switch position as a jack socket for my battery conditioner so I'll have to have a think about the switch location.
