This morning on the way to work the Elise clocked over 100,000 miles......

I've owned my 99 Elise for 8 years and i've enjoyed every minute.

I used to use the Elise as an everyday car and used it in all weathers, it sat outside for a couple of years before I moved to a property with a garage.

The first upgrade was made a couple of months of ownership, changed the tyres to Toyo T1R, great all year round.

Next upgrade was to s2 suspension, much better than the Koni's.

Various bits and pieces have been upgraded over the years. Brakes, interior etc etc.

When i got a company car the Elise was used as a weekend toy and pretty much got layed up in the Winter from the end of November till beginning of March.

It's been to Le Mans 24 hour race numerious occasions. It's completed 3 big European Tours, the last being the Italian Tour which we completed last Friday.

The "old girl" with the K series 135 upgrade never missed a beat.... even though i thought i had HGF last week whilst in Germany.

I'm now running the car up and down to Milton Keynes and getting 50 mpg.

Lets hope she continues to run with no issues !

Nice work Steve, it didn't take you long to get those few extra miles after getting back. :-)

How's the engine going? Any worse signs of Hgf?

100k and still the original engine as well ! I suppose Sonya's did 100k, even if mine's needed both a rebuild and a replacement at under 60k :-(

Well done !

Must catch up soon.

How much of the journey were you looking at the display to catch 'The Moment'?! ( Was it as satisfying as seeing all the nines change to zeros on a mechanical odometer?)

Congratulations on having such a well used and reliable Elise.
