Ride Height

Ah that reminds me. Set the bottom of the number plate a few mm lower than the bottom of the front clam. It makes a horrible noise when it scrapes and gves a good warning of impending problems.

Yep, I've done that before! On the ferry across lake windermere!

My plate is now velcro'd on a few mm below the clam

My S2 was running just under 110 at the front and it was a PITA - just cost £200 to get the splitter filled and resprayed - it' bonded to the calm rolleyes.gif and that was after raising it to about 115mm. Reckon 120 at least for the road.

I put some thick tape under the front clam which protected it in case of slight scrapes. Offcuts of armourfend will work well for this as it's clear, although you won't see it as it's underneath.

I've scraped the BMW on some road humps, as some are rediculously steep and high whether you have a low ride height or not.
