Matt C Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Father inlaw phoned me up to say his new found friend is Richard Rackham, Chief Engineer at Lotus - first name terms and swapped mobile numbers. He was saying how the S1 was so much a better car than the S2!! hehe My father in law is Sunbeam motorbikes (you oldies may remember them), and Richard has owned one for 22years. Apparently the S1 fuel filler is an exact copy fromt he Sunbeam bike! Well there you go.....

The S2 was done to make the car cheaper to build, and to basically sell more (read softer!) He also said Hethel were going to do a sprint at some time soon, and a tour of the factory would be included.... sounds good!!!
