That’s a shame the paintwork looks to be in great condition. Option 1 in Bromsgrove have always had a very good reputation, they did some work on a previous Elise of mine and although not the cheapest the workmanship was superb. Some insurance companies are funny about not using their repairers but personally it’s something I would insist on with an Elise.

Charges:3:95 euro per month for the full package or 79 euro for a lifetime membership, although they often have discount weekends. Doubling back: it has the ability to create a circular route could be that is set? Not sure why it’s giving problems logging in. There’s a very big community so there is a huge library of routes if you don’t want to create your own. It’s worth spending a little time to understand how it works and the desktop version is far more intuitive than the phone version and you can convert your routes to pretty much any file format to use on various Sat nav’s/Apps etc

Not free by any stretch but very good 👍 I’ve created and driven thousands of miles using it in some of the most out of the way places in Europe and it hasn’t missed a beat. Probably overkill for what your proposing but as a route planner it’s superb.

I use MyRouteapp for route planning here and in Europe it does much of what you suggest in your post. Sharing location could get tricky in some of the areas I’ve travelled due to lack of any signal can be away from any sort of mobile signal for quite some time?

You need to prize the cover up and then you can get access to the clip👍

Smart 4-2 rear view mirror works well and uses the original ball mount, just carefully pull the Elise mirror off the stalk and press the smart mirror on. You need a rear view mirror from the 451 model(2007-2014), the 450 mirror wont fit. I paid a fiver off ebay, best done with the stalk removed from the screen as Elise screens can be a little fragile. You can do the same with a Mercedes SLK(R140) but doesn't look as good as the smart imo. On my 111r there was a small metal spring that had to be depressed so as to allow removal of the mirror, this wasn't the case on my S3. 111r is basically a Fed Elise so Michael's page here shows how to do it: http://sandsmuseum.com/cars/elise/experience/modifications/mirror/mirror.html

Nice car, but way over the top price wise. The blurb reads well but It’s a MY20 Elise 220, registered in 2021, so last of the Elise’s that were knocking about with dealers before the FE’s. Mileage is a damp squib and if they’re basing the price on that then they don’t know much about Elise’s. Personally I’d be looking elsewhere, there are better, cheaper cars out there albeit with slightly higher mileage. Ad also states final Elise was not supplied with engine cover which isn’t strictly true, Lotus stopped fitting them on 220’s MY19/20 but would get dealers to fit them if the owner kicked up a stink 🙄😂 all the engine covers were kept for the 250’s😉
