Lotus’ Emeya and Evija X to make UK dynamic debuts at Goodwood Festival of Speed

  • Goodwood crowds can see Emeya, the much-anticipated hyper-GT, at the Festival of Speed before UK customer deliveries begin next month.
  • Emeya is one of the fastest GTs in the world with acceleration of 0- 62 mph in under 2.8 seconds.
  • Evija X, a one-off track version of the all-electric Evija, will also be seen for the first time in the UK, after it recently achieved the third fastest-ever lap time at the iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife.

9 July 2024 - London, UK  Lotus is set to make two UK dynamic debuts at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, with its highly anticipated hyper-GT, Emeya and the revolutionary Evija X. At the forefront of luxury, performance and cutting-edge technology, these two models mark a new era for Lotus and highlight its ongoing pursuit of excellence and innovation in electrification.

Attendees at the event will see Evija X and Emeya take on the iconic Hill Climb throughout the duration of the festival. In addition, Evija, the world's most powerful production car boasting 2,011bhp, will also be taking part in the supercar runs.

This year, the Lotus stand takes a new location next to the First Glance Paddock. The stand itself features an area dedicated to Lotus owners, centered around 'The Drivers' social space. This will display the Evija, Eletre, Emeya, and Emira – in addition to Lotus’ world championship-winning Type 72 F1 race car and the Type 136 Lotus e-Bike.

Simon Lane, Executive Director at Lotus Advanced Performance said: “We are thrilled to debut the Lotus Emeya and Evija X at Goodwood Festival of Speed. These models represent the pinnacle of our engineering and design capabilities, embodying the spirit of innovation and performance that Lotus is known for. We are excited to showcase our vision for the future of luxury and hypercars both on the Hill and on our stand”

Throughout the weekend, the Lotus stand will be a hub of activity, featuring daily Q&As hosted by renowned journalist, presenter and automotive aficionado, Natasha Bird. Bird will be quizzing prominent women from the automotive industry on their experience and leading important discussions about how we bring the joy of performance cars into a more inclusive era.

Natasha Bird said:I am so excited to host and chat to these trailblazing women who are redefining the automotive and motorsport landscape. Their passion, innovation, skill and leadership are not only breaking barriers, but also driving the industry forward. It’s an honour to celebrate their achievements and share their stories at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed."

  • Newbie question

As the title suggests , a newbie query. I have just bought an S2 Elise , 2007 with the Toyota 1ZZ power unit in ‘ touring spec’. That means electric windows, a radio and , err, not sure what else. Anyway, that is not the subject of the query. The car is blue with a cream interior. The latter I don’t plan to keep. In fact , already bought some equivalent second hand door cards in black and am looking hard at a pair of Corbeau LE seats . So, first part of my query centres on those Corbeau seats. A

Hello guys. I am surprised there is not more on here about using Led Projectors for the dip beam in the US you can get the ORE kit which is still a bit pricy.  I beleve he found a good unit that people can retrofit, and provided the extra brackets to adapt it. Bilstein Repair Service

Hi A couple of weeks ago my 2008 Elise failed its MOT due to leaking rear Bilstein dampers. A look on elise parts and they were £330 incl Vat each without the springs, so I decided to look at my options and found out that Bilstein offer a rebuild service. Dropped them of at their service centre in Leicester last Monday, picked them up yesterday. £140 incl vat per damper for new seals, pistons, gas and oil plus a degrease so less than half the cost of new ones. Very good
