Anyone have a view on the best route to Dover and how long it's likely to take from Birmingham/Coventry area? Try to avoid driving in the south east whenever possible so no ideas about this one, despite doing over 20k miles every year for work. Am thinking M40, M25, M26, M20 and then A20. Is there a much better/quicker route than that? M26 then M2? All help and advice greatly appreciated. Looking for the fastest route rather than the most scenic one this time. Kristian

Well after an excellent day on the run, I have come home more eager to do some track driving. As discussed, http://www.1stlotus.com Dates that suit? I can do any week day after 17th jul or weekendsB4 then. The calender link seems empty (not sure if its updated) A phone call probably nthe way forward. Kwik fit for the Geo Gurj and you're in! Jon the exhaust sorted would be a bonus!

Someones elses misfortune! It's bad and you shouldnt laugh....but you will! (this from Scoobynet....not me! Cant think would be mush of a elise left after a cow has stood on it....dont intend to find out!) Driving to work this morning and came to a spot where at least once a week I have to wait whilst a farmer walks his herd of cows either to or from the milking shed along about 500 yards of road. Predictably there they were, bunch of dopey looking fat ba$t4rds idling their way along with the farmer driving a small tractor behin them keeping them moving. Then it happened, 2 or 3 cows had gone past my car when once moo-ing son of a heiffer stood looking at…

Just discovered this on the Nokia website clicky Blurb here: Lotus Challenge Climb in, buckle up, pop the clutch and take to the streets in one of 3 super-fast, super-sleek Lotus cars in Lotus Challenge: City Racing! Have you got what it takes to beat off the challenge of 3 other drivers and take the chequered flag on the city tracks of Paris, Tokyo and New York? Courteney.

Just wondering if anyone on MLOC might have found somewhere that can fit a detachable Momo wheel. How about Mike and the mechanics? I believe it only takes five minutes or so! (I think the odd lump hammer helps) Is it also true that the roof has to be removed to allow all the mechanics into the cockpit area? Still I suppose with the instructions it should be simple I am sure Scott will come up with some good suggestions!!! Isn't it great to watch others suffer Dave

Had a blow out on the motorway today, the tyre is shredded so I need a new one. Just wondered if anyone has got a part worn 225/45/16 for sale that I can put on for now. Thx Have ordered with mytyres but they won't be here for a while. My car is abandoned in Worcester. Any type of tyre will do just to get me home.

Some total scum has tried to nick the Lotus badge from the front of my Elise They've scratched it while trying but its not bad enough to pay someone to fix, but wondered if anyone knows of any guides to help me fix it myself?! Searched the net but no luck. Ordered a touch up stick from hangar 111. Do I just touch it up then polish it after or use t-cut?! Maybe I just can't see it but is there a search button on this site?! Cheers for any help

Is it me or are they dropping like stones? Strangely, base S1's seem to be unaffected, but S2 135R's for £20k, base S2's for £17k...I guess the 111R's have harder than I thought. Then the prices of the Sport160's are going down too...and there seem to be ALOT of them for sale at the moment... Minter here for £14,750 http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/detail.as...i=23428&sc=DHA4 Which is a bastard cause I was hoping to get £16-16.5k for mine...looks like it'll be more like £15k Although strangely, S1 Exige prices seem to be getting stronger since the S2 Exige, despite the good reviews its been getting... Is this why were seeing an influx of people …

I know this is really cheeky! Has anyone got any contacts with the offshore oil/gas industry. I've been trying to get a graduate position for 6 months with no luck and am getting ever closer to the dreaded "do you want fries with that?" If anyone here has any mates who can drop my CV on the right desk please let me know, so my nine years of Cheminal Engineering education wont go to waste Cheers, Richard
