It's typical, I've been watching the Elise market for the past year and an ideal car has come up probably twice a month.  

As soon as I've got 11k burning a hole in my pocket there's sweet FA.

If anyone is thinking off selling up give me a shout.

I think Chris Lane is.  His is a limited edition,  type 25?  Old English white with green stripes.  Really, really nice.

Yep, had one a few years ago and TBH it was more than enough for the road.

I had a quick look at the market and was surprised that there seems even less about.  There are some  tidy cars that seem to have gone up in price.

I think a few get crashed every year and a few go abroad.  They have been making/selling less in the Uk.

I will have a canyon red 06 111R to sell in a week or so if you are interested. I'd be looking for as close to £15k as I could get to be honest.

A reluctant sale to say the least but having to get something more family orientated. Although my two kids say they will be gutted to see it go.

@Izzimad - I sold my 111s a couple of years ago and am looking to return to the fold.  I could be interested in a 111R if you decide to sell.  I'm South Leics based.....

@Toppo - the chances are I will advertise my 111R on here in the classifieds in a week or so. I will update this topic when it's on.

I will be really sorry to see it go but having to consolidate cars from an Impreza WRX Estate and the Lotus and get a slightly more practical, newer sports car. Will be sorry to see the Subaru go too, I've had it eight years from new and its not once let me down in 90k miles.

Will probably end up getting an Audi TTS if the test drive proves to be ok. It's got 4 seats (sort of) and I'd rather have 4wd rather than fwd. I've got used to that Lotus fuel economy and by all accounts the TT isn't too thirsty. Just doesn't satisfy the petrol head in my like the Elise. I'll have another Elise or hopefully an Exige one day! Even the kids are upset about the Lotus going, and it only makes them worse when I tell them it's their fault!!! ;-)

Just an update to say my 2006 Canyon Red Elise S2 111R is now in the classifieds. Extremely sad for me but I like to think that it will go to a good home. I swear it gave me soppy sad eyes as I walked past it earlier today, almost as if it knew!
