Lotus Elise Trophy And Lotus Cup Uk – Oulton Park

Oulten Park hosted round 4 of the Lotus Elise Trophy and Lotus Cup UK on Saturday 20th June. An action packed day of racing with tricky and changing conditions tested the drivers and their skills to the limit.

Lotus Elise Trophy - Oulton Park Race 1

1. Luigi Mazza

2. James Little

3. David Ellesley

A storming drive and car control display from Mazza in tricky conditions gave him the win from Little and a season best result for 2015 newcomer David Ellesley

Race 2

1. Jason Baker

2. Luigi Mazza

3. Freddie Hetherington

A superb drive from Baker in a car hired from track-club that he'd literally never sat in until the morning qualifying session!! Any one of five drivers could have won the race and only a missed gear for Craig Denman cost him a podium and valuable points

Lotus Cup UK Production Class - Oulton Park

1. James Little & Andrew Bentley

2. Ryan Savage

3. Stuart Ratcliff & Anthony Dunn

Great victory for the Elise Cup R of James Little, Ryan Savage had a difficult weekend with an off in Elise Trophy and an engine failure and spectacular fire in the second Elise Trophy race but he sandwiched that trouble with a valuable points haul in the 60 minute Cup race.

Ratcliff drove a stormer in the tricky early conditions to recover from an issue that put him last starting from the pits. With Rowbottom failing to score the championship is wide open.

Lotus Cup UK Supersport - Oulton Park Result

1. Adam Gore

2. Adam Balon

3. Alex Reed

Adrian Hall wins the Open Class and Marcus Jewell wins the 2-eleven Class.

A well earned victory for Adam Gore when an early shower didn't last long enough for Adam Balons wet tyre gamble to pay off. An early trip into the gravel meant Alex Reed had to fight back to earn the final podium spot taking fastest lap on the way.

  • Is it still AD07 and AD08 ?

Hi all its a simple  question. Time for new rubber all round so are we still fitting standard size and Yokohama AD07 on the front and AD08 on the rear? The 175 on the front are a bit hard to get hold of in the correct size for some reason. Is there anything better out there now for the same sort of price, grip and wearability? Thanks

    LitP 2019 help

Hi folks It's that time of year again when we start planning Lotus in the Peak, and as usual we need volunteers - even more so this year because three key members of our team Phil, Jan and Laura Stone have decided to take a well-earned break. If you think you might like to help can I ask you to stick your name down on here or if you would prefer pm me please. As usual we need run group leaders and there are various other bits and pieces we could use help with but right now we have an urgent need for a social media manager - someone that can regularly add content to the LitP facebook page amongst other things. Could that be you? All volunteers will receive, as ever, much MLOC kudos and maybe even an LitP polo shirt!   Thanks   Dean, Dunc, Ray and the LitP team

Lotus in the Peak - kids?

Hi guys After getting my car back on the road last year I'm hoping to attend a few events this year (otherwise it won't get used yet again).  I'm seriously considering coming to Lotus in the Peak, but if I did I'd probably want to bring my 6 year old son and give my wife the weekend to herself.  Is this possible or is it not really for kids?  Does anybody else come with a small navigator?  Daniel loves riding in the Elise and would really enjoy being out and about with the big boys and their fancy cars. If it's not advised then no worries, but I thought I'd check! thanks Graham

    Winter work.

Spent a fun few hours in the garage today. I dropped the rear clam off, changed the cam belt and retimed the cams. It looks like my crank seal is weeping as well, deep joy. I have still got to change the hand brake cable, sort out the alarm and oil and filter change. What are the rest of you up to this winter

    De cat or Not

Morning all, I’m looking for some advise on what to do regards putting a de cat pipe on my 2006 111r. Currently it has the 2bular 6” back box on it with the TRD filter. How will the De cat effect the car. Will I see a drop or increase in performance ? Will it be to load ? Or should I just leave it as it is now? Thanks  Nathan
