Carpet In S1?

Seen some pictures of elieses with carpets in, Are they practical? i think they look good it is a DIY job ?

It's a fairly straight forward DIY job. You'll have to take the seats out obviously. The only slightly trickybit is getting the carpet to sit neatly around the speaker pod bit.

It'll cost you £248 inc VAT for the set - have to order through Lotus dealer and the trim shop will make one up for you. They no longer make them as such, so it would be a one off order.

Fortunately, I didn't buy mine...

 

And they're out anyway at the mo as I need the floor doing (took them out to dry them post weather incident - no point in refitting before that).

 

They do make the car quiter, though

Erm ... I fitted them to my last elise but that was because I was doing 25k miles a year in it, mainly motorway. Honest.
