Alloy indicator stalks, Lotus valve caps, alloy switch surrounds, colour coded engine components, stick on carbon fibre or personal plates, etc, etc.

All completely superfluous, but all part of the fun of car ownership.

Let people spend their dosh on whatever they like.

Each to his or her own, but lets not try and say who is right or wrong!

I try to only replace stuff if it's better and/or lighter.

Thats why I wont put stuff like subwoofers in the car, but I would if it was my Golf or daily driver etc

Interesting thread,

My plate is S2 NUJ,and the story behind it is......

My first S2 was the first to be registered in Shropshire, just when the DVLA were changing over to the new plates, when I was a kid I used to love spotting what town the passing cars were registered to(Yep sad,but we were poor, and it made long journeys more enjoyable). So my S2 has a Shrewsbury reg(no prefix for Shrewsbury with the new reg) and its kind of stuck with me since, plus as a bonus the plate is very small and doesn't look stupid like these great big long new ones.

Regards

Jon

ps.anybody else remember the I-Spy books??
