I wish I had money on him. What a race. I had the whole family shouting at the telly. We all ended up with lost voices and my little Son even started crying when he saw Vittel go by ( he is only 4 - bless!).

In the end, the best driver won and to be honest, he should have been a two time world champion by now!

Congrats Lewis. Now for Michael's record

So, seeing that Lewis had his rain light on for the whole race (even when it was dry) - how long before their is an enquiry and the penalty dished out means he looses?

Absolutely fantastic stuff!

I don't know which bit I liked the best - Lewis winning our the look on the Ferrarri supporters faces.

I'm just glad it was won on the track - if Lewis had of finished sixth it would have meant that the FIA's decisions would have been the deciding factor. It's nice so see Lewis win despite the best attempts of Ferrari, the FIA and all the other things in his way.

Well done to both Lewis and McLaren on a truely well deserved win.

OMG what a race! Glad to see things went Lewis' way for a change (assuming the FIA don't come up with some half arsed reason to take it off him). I did feel a little bit sorry for Massa, but after shunting Lewis off in the last race I guess you could call it karma.

 Top stuff.

Great race, treterous conditions to start, with such a mix of dry & wet track! Must ahve completely thrown everyone's tactics in the bin!

Fantastic for Lewis - deserved over the season for sure, especially with F(errari)IA decisions not going his way on numerous occasions. Highlights of the season would be Silvestone, Monaco & dominance in China after the previous race disaster.

Do feel for Massa though, very gracious in defeat, the sign of a true sportsman is how he reacts in the face of defeat. Unlike his fellow countrymen.

Brilliant conclusion to a very intriguing season, and it pnly promises to get more interesting next year on the Beeb with so many reg changes. Can't wait - Well done Lewis - proud to be British

Well well, what a race.

First of all, well done Massa. Did ALL that Ferrari asked of him, won the race convincingly and didn't put a wheel wrong all day.

Then in all the disappointment of not winning the World Championship, was big enough to congratulate Lewis Hamilton in his Championship.

The premature celebrations were rather funny tho.

As for Glock, both him and Trulli didn't come in for intermediate tyres when it started raining near the end.

It as a great decision by each team, as if they'd come in neither would have finshed in the points. The fact that they were BOTH 18 seconds slower in the last lap than the inter runners kept them in the top 8. As Lewis HAD come in, the McLaren team malso made the correct decision, and won Lewis top spot.

Lewis IS arrogent, which alot of people dont like about him.

However, Schumacher and Alonso are just as arrogent. IMO is part of the mental set-up to be able to be the best in F1.

Well done Lewis.

I don't suppose a kind soul has the ITV highlights they can perhaps put on a streaming site, download site or chuck it on a DVD and post it to me (at my cost of course) ??

F1 in Dutch, when everyone is routing for Ferrari just isn't the same, and I cannot watch anything on the ITV/F1.com site as a message pops up stating "Due to F1 licencing agreements playback is not available in your terratory" :P

I think this is a relivant reply.

Taken from VX220.org.uk, and VERY true.

We Brits have a reputation for being defeatist; we criticise the yanks for over-celebrating, we criticise the aussies for being arrogant. Yet.....

...........when a 23yr old Brit wins the F1 world title in the back-yard of his main rival, we are f*ck-witted-enough to accuse our own of being lucky!

Find your b******s!
