S1 and S2 chassies are different so no engine mounts etc have been designed for the Toyota. The Honda engine is lighter, sits lower and already proven, with an established 2nd hand market.

No reason you couldn't but there's a lot of work needed to do it whereas the Honda stuff is already done.

Honda for £ 6.5k, is this a genuine all in price (incl engine ?) ?

Neil.

Phoenix charge £4,500 for the conversion and you supply your own engine and associated anciliaries - They do not supply engines, nor warrant the engine you provide. I got a years warranty with my engine and bits when I bought them. However if I have ever had any issue with the conversion at all Phoenix have always sorted it no questions asked.

IMO though the engine is the last bit you should do if you're going down the honda route - suspension, brake upgrade and uprated toe links are a must and that's going to be circa £2-2.5k if you're looking at Nitrons/Ohlins, ali-belled discs and pads and elise parts uprated toelinks. Makes for an awesome car though!!! :bday:

I think you should buy the 340r then i will be able to come around and sit in it once a month, and never need to have my own :bday:

When I get mine back you're welcome to come and sit in it :bday:

Blimey. I didn't realise that Pheonix were doing them that cheap. Suppose it depends upon the cost of the engine, but £6500 is a bargain.
