Rebellion Racing Will Race The 6 Hours Of Fuji Aiming To Win The Fia E

REBELLION Racing will race next week-end at the Fuji Speedway in Japan for the 6 Hours of Fuji with the aim of securing the win in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMP1 Teams.

Achieving this “world” title in Japan, homeland of Toyota, would mean a lot for REBELLION Racing. The 2011 season was successful with the Toyota RV8KLM engine, the team won the Le Mans Series Teams and Manufacturers championships and ended last year's “world championship” (Intercontinental Le Mans Cup) third in the teams' classification and best independent team behind Peugeot and Audi.

Close to the location where the team's engines are built, Fuji Speedway would be the best place to share another championship win with the people from Toyota Motorsport Division and Toyota Motorsport GmbH.

After a double podium at the 6 Hours of Bahrain, REBELLION Racing has a 37 point lead over Strakka Racing and is determinated to win the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMP1 teams in Japan.

With a maximum of 50 points available in the remaining two rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Japan and China, a third place finish in the FIA Endurance LMP1 classification would be enough to win the championship after the 6 Hours of Fuji race.

The Lola-Toyota #13 chassis, damaged two weeks ago during the third free practice session of the 6 Hours of Bahrain, was sent to the UK to be repaired the day after the Bahrain race. The repaired tub arrived on Wednesday afternoon at the Fuji track. The re-building of the car started during that evening and the car will be ready for the first official free practice sessions scheduled on Friday.

Only the Lola-Toyota #12, with Neel Jani and Nicolas Prost at the wheel, took part in the Test Day organised at the Fuji Speedway yesterday. A good first day of work for the Swiss team who are anticipating a hard day's racing on Sunday with their two Toyota (TMG) engine powered LMP1 cars battling with three Honda (HPD) engine powered LMP1 cars.

A promising 2 vs 3 for the two engine manufacturers on the ground of their homeland... but in the Toyota's backyard.

Bart Hayden REBELLION Racing Team Manager :

« We are closer than ever to winning the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMP1 Teams. But nothing is final, yet. The spare chassis has been repaired in the UK and is now being completely rebuilt at the Fuji circuit here in Japan to race as car #13. It's a big job for the team to complete before being able to race in the 6 Hours of Fuji. However, we're all very happy to be racing here in Japan and also as motivated as ever to get the team trophy win.”

The 6 Hours of Fuji race will start Sunday 14th of October at 11:00, local time, 3:00 AM (GMT).

    Mileage has dropped?

Mileage has shown gentle progression up to 21,249 for last years MOT.  Just checked mileage before I take him for this years MOT, and its dropped to 19,805! Has anyone else experienced this and could enlighten me of the possible cause. Makes it look as though I've 'clocked' the car!! Thanks, Andrew
