Sports car display accompanied by photographic artwork illustrating handmade craftsmanship in manufacturing a Lotus
Exhibition, held at the Saatchi Gallery, London, runs until 14th of November 2015

Lotus presents at the SalonQP Fine Watch Exhibition
As the only car marque supporting the SalonQP Fine Watch Exhibition, Lotus Cars is proudly exhibiting two of its high performance, handbuilt, pure sports cars, the new and recently launched Lotus Evora 400 and the exciting Lotus Exige Club Racer.
Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Group Lotus plc says, “We are delighted to be an official partner to SalonQP this year and to take the opportunity to showcase two of our handbuilt sports cars to an audience appreciative of fine design. Every car that comes out of our Norfolk Headquarters is built to order and bespoke to each customer’s requirements. Whether it is the hand-spray painted lightweight body or the craftsmen and women who stitch together high quality Scottish leather for the interior, each stage of the manufacturing process is a perfect example of passion and commitment.”

Accompanying the Lotus Evora 400 and the Lotus Exige Club Racer in the Saatchi gallery are a selection of beautifully presented pictures showing some of the hand built details of the Lotus car manufacturing process. The pictures give an insight of both the assembly process and the human touch behind every Lotus at the company’s Headquarters and manufacturing facility, in Hethel, Norfolk.

Lotus Evora 400

The Lotus Evora 400 combines high performance with the legendary Lotus benchmark handling and is lighter, more efficient and dynamically better than ever, providing a purer driving experience, greater agility and a more involving drive.

Weighing just 1395 kg, the new Evora 400 combines high performance with the legendary Lotus benchmark handling. This performance, and handling, combined with a maximum speed of 186 mph (300 km/h) and acceleration 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds) makes the new Evora 400 the fastest production Lotus ever,

The Lotus Exige Club Racer

With its lightweight aluminium chassis-tub and aerodynamically enhanced composite bodywork, the Lotus Exige Club Racer, delivers exhilarating performance, benchmark handling and a pure driving experience combined with a 3.8 seconds 0-60 mph acceleration time and a top speed of 170 mph.

The Exige Club Racer weighs just 1161 kg and possesses 42 kg of aerodynamic downforce at 100 mph, thanks to the front splitter, rear wing and flat underside, all contributing to its phenomenal performance and handling balance.

  • Adventures of an S1 Elise in Germany

Some of you will know, but for the rest, I'll be working in Germany near Mannheim until end of 2026 with 75% of my time there, and 25% back home. As i fancy doing some different roads, and I've booked two weekend driving tours with Delightful Driving company (run by Elisa Artioli), on Thursday 10th July I'll be setting of in my S1 Elise, and 4 days later I plan to arrive at my apartment. I plan to post about my driving adventures over there, so keep an eye on this blog should you be in

    Newbie question

As the title suggests , a newbie query. I have just bought an S2 Elise , 2007 with the Toyota 1ZZ power unit in ‘ touring spec’. That means electric windows, a radio and , err, not sure what else. Anyway, that is not the subject of the query. The car is blue with a cream interior. The latter I don’t plan to keep. In fact , already bought some equivalent second hand door cards in black and am looking hard at a pair of Corbeau LE seats . So, first part of my query centres on those Corbeau seats. A
