Lotus Cars Welcomes New Addition To Uk Dealer Network

Lotus Cars Ltd, the sportscar division of Group Lotus plc, is delighted to announce the opening of its latest

dealership located in the elegant spa town of Harrogate.

DriveStyle Horseless Carriages has a fantastic motorsport themed launch planned for Thursday 29th

November. It will start at 6.00pm and invited guests can expect to enjoy race-meeting style refreshments whilst

admiring Lotus' latest sportscar offerings including the recently launched 2008 model year Exige S with

Performance Pack and the stunning Exige GT3 Concept model.

Mike Kimberley, CEO of Group Lotus comments "I would like to welcome DriveStyle to the Lotus community.

We are at a very exciting stage of our development, with two new cars due by early 2009 and 2010. During this

period of evolution we are focusing on the Brand Image and Iconic Lotus DNA of the Lotus of tomorrow. That's

why we are so pleased to team up with DriveStyle who, with their enthusiastic approach, is a perfect

compliment to the prime market of Harrogate. DriveStyle are the second dealership that we have appointed in

this important region so now there is even more opportunity for drivers to take to the wonderful driving roads of

Yorkshire and the Dales."

Steve Williams, Managing Director of DriveStyle said, "We are delighted to take on the Lotus franchise for

Harrogate, an area which abounds with sports car enthusiasts, in particular classic British brands. We aim to

provide our Lotus customers with a bespoke one-stop-shop approach, merging the modern lifestyle image of

DriveStyle with a traditional attitude to customer service. It is important to us that our customers are able to

discuss their car with our trained Lotus specialists.

"Our services include the sale of new and pre-owned Lotus cars, competitive part-exchanges, service, body

and paint repairs and the full Lotus aftersales and accessory ranges. Each DriveStyle customer will also

receive our exclusive 'Service Plus' loyalty package offering a range of aftersales benefits and services that

could result in savings in excess of £1000 over a 3 year ownership cycle. There will also be 2 DriveStyle track

days in 2008 hosted by professional racing drivers. We intend to fully support the local owners club, offering

them the use of the showroom for club meetings and driveouts.

"We are building our stock of pre-owned Lotus cars and invite current Lotus owners to take advantage of the

brand's fantastic resale value and part-exchange their old car for a new Elise, Exige or Europa. All in all, our

enthusiastic team aim to further develop the exciting Lotus brand throughout our region in 2008 and beyond."

The brakes on my Elise 240 FE never felt brilliant but at 2.5 years old in the cold and wet did nothing when pressed, a few pumps later and some braking happened. I took it in and the pads (oem from new) were glazed. I replaced them with Pagid RS42 and updated fluid. Difference was night and day.  Now, a year and maybe 3500 miles on and the pedal feel is a little wooden again (like can brake light or hard but nothing in between) and they are squealing really bad at town driving  speeds and lig

Tyre comparison - short note on v105 vs ad08rs

Elise S2 k series with standard geometry so set up to understeer gently. Which is exactly what I've been getting on runs out. Car is on the recommended yoko v105 tyres. There a two types the ones to get have a slightly stiffer sidewall and are recommended for mercs iirc. V105 is in my experience a very competent road tyre for all seasons and daily driving. Definitely recommended. V105 thoughts coming off a no longer available very old and hard and narrower front tyre.  As normal T
