I've had my car over in Quorn (lotuspower.co.uk) for a service and general good going over. In around a day's work I have had; A service Coolant change Brake fluid change New sparks Cleaned hurricane Remote stat Nylatron gear linkages New OSF wheel bearing ARB bushes New NSF bottom ball joint Various whistles and rattles rectified Replaced towing eye Upgraded headlight wiring Replaced door springs Car feels like new, even without anything that could substantially alter the feel of the car (Geo booked for next month!). I think it must just be psycological as it's so much less noisy with the new suspension and brake pad buffers (fitted last month), whee…

Hi guys, My Exige Janspeed Supersport stainless steel exhaust and CRP has just arrived! I had to take the CRP off the exhaust - bloody hell the bolts were seized! I bought the Eliseparts exhaust fitting kit so that i can remove the CRP easily come MOT time The pics make the exhaust look really manky [taken with my shitty 6230]- but its well nice in real life!!!! Cant get it fitted until after hols [whole 2 weeks away!] - Im getting Kwik Fit to fit it because if the Zorst/CRP seized nuts were a nightmare to get off - my liz ones are going to be twice as bad! Has anyone else got one of these fitted on their S1??? Oh and how loud are they […

It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. > > BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really…

Took the car in for an MOT at the weekend to Horizon, allways with some trepedation as it allways seems to come around when I'm a bit skint. Anyway, passed fine, a great service - cup of tea, bacon sandwich and the cricket on the tele. Really friendly and helpfull people.

Cross posted: Hi there, We at Lotus Club International urgently require a Giugiaro shaped Lotus Esprit Turbo, ideally an S3 for a feature in EVO magazine on the way cars of different manufacturers have evolved over the last 20 years. The Esprit will go head to head with the Lotus Sport Exige 240R launched this year, and the car will need to be driven on the road and track by one of our renowned Lotus Vehicle Dynamics engineers and the journalist. It is important to note that the car will not be driven at full speed, and care will be taken throughout the road and track test. The Esprit is required between 14:00 and 16:00 at Hethel on Thursday 15/09/05.…

Went out for a spin in the Exige today and ended up poping into Nick Whale Sports Cars to see if they had an ITG Induction Kit on any of their Demo cars that I could test. You know, like you do when you have a bit of time to kill. Sadley they didn't have one on a demo But they had the ITG Kit in and priced it up for me anyway.... It was a bit of a quite day so they fitted it there and then An hour later I was able to drive off.. How's that for service I was a bit worried while it was being fitted about how much extra noise it would have on top of the Stage 2 Sports Exhaust and wondered if I had done the right thing in jumping in blind. But…

The poll got me thinking. In my ever changing mind on cars and what to have/not have the idea of having a perma-mobile that is comfy, reliable and nice to drive whilst i buy/sell and swop my elises is sounding like a good idea ! Really just a thought crossing my mind but what do people make of the 5 series ? Its a lot of car for the money - not really looked into engines yet. i wouldnt want a v8 m5 or anything like that. just something brisk but economical. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/45267.htm Any thoughts ?
