Sonya
I've had my car over in Quorn (lotuspower.co.uk) for a service and general good going over. In around a day's work I have had; A service Coolant change Brake fluid change New sparks Cleaned hurricane Remote stat Nylatron gear linkages New OSF wheel bearing ARB bushes New NSF bottom ball joint Various whistles and rattles rectified Replaced towing eye Upgraded headlight wiring Replaced door springs Car feels like new, even without anything that could substantially alter the feel of the car (Geo booked for next month!). I think it must just be psycological as it's so much less noisy with the new suspension and brake pad buffers (fitted last month), wheel bearing, ball joint, rattles gone etc. Also I suppose lots of little bits (service, sparks, cleaned induction) can add up to a big improvement. Can't wait for the geo now, should feel even better!
Ladders
Bah, no wonder Martin was to busy to do my C service at the mo! Where you getting the Geo done Sonya?
Ruxpin
Who are lotuspower.co.uk? The website doesn't like to anything about servicing. What can they do? Are they linked to QED? Quorn's not a very big place. Would be interested in their servicing options as they are very close, Cheers Rich
Ladders
Ruxpin, Lotus Power are Martin and Steve Edwards They do servicing for Lotus's, helped Jonno get Blown K back on the road, and have just developed a Honda Coversion for their Exige. (one of the neatest I've seen!) They also make the rear diffusers you can get off Elise Parts. Martin is also a very nice guy and knows what he's on about. malbon
Martin is also a very nice guy and knows what he's on about. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And Steve's not ? They are not a commercial outfit. They just know their beans. And are not linked to QED. They service peoples cars as and when and do track support for a few exiges who race in the mid engined series. A friend of mine is driving from Bournemouth !! to leave it over the weekend there. Add a A Service ,exhaust, petrol back and forth and 2 nights on the sauce and this will cost about the same as driving it in and out of Westover Sportscar main dealer down there Nothing like having a fresh service. I get through miles so quickly and actually look forward to getting it serviced
Sonya
Questions answered by the looks of it! Martin and Steve are perhaps the most trustworthy and skilled people I know locally. Between them and Horizon they could sew up the Lotus market in the Midlands, and beyond....
Ruxpin
Cheers for the replys. If they're not commercial are they interested in servicing more cars - ie mine? 'C' service coming up. Or is it just friends etc. I'd like to take it to Horizon but it's an awful long way for a service however good it is - still tempting though as the reports are excellent..... hummm Waiting to hear on another option at the moment - but am still looking for a more local specialist - Quorn would be ideal - hence my interest. Nick gee
I can also vote for Lotus Power. I went a few months back with a sticking boot lid and not only did they sort that out but they gave my car a good look over, took it out for a test drive and generally put my mind at rest. Also as mentioned in the above posts...... nice blokes.

Rich <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They will fix anyones car (well almost) but they are really busy because they both have 9-5 jobs aswell but worth giving Martin a call to book it in, They are definately recommended Martin Edwards 07973725980 alternatively come to the Lotus Drivers Club meeting on Monday for a drink and have a chat

In around a day's work I have had; A service hey - I did the oil and filter change... there's not *much* more to an A service They also make the rear diffusers you can get off Elise Parts. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure that's true - they do look similar, but I don't think they supply them to Eliseparts - they're just an alternative.
