As the title says I wish to purchase and have a go at installing said kit this weekend,
I have an S2 111s 2004
I guess lots you have already done said mod or similar, what pitfalls should I be looking out for?
More to the point can I do it on my drive and still have a car that works afterwards !

Did it myself on my old S2 in an hour or so. Was a fairly simple process and combined with sports exhaust and decat gave 134bhp from standard 120bhp. Mainly the noise was the biggest change.

this may sound dumb and proberbly is, is the hurricane from elise-parts only,
if so I assume they are ok to deal with,
yes the curent air box looks well complicated with a couple of hoses running to/from, i hear i may have to take the wheel off and arch liner to get access, but will have a try.

Ordering on line this evening hopefully fit on Sunday, if it comes before then, give me time to read up some more on the best way to do it.
Any hints and tips would be most welcome

Do yourself a favour, safely jack up the car, remove the rear wheel and also remove the wheel arch liner, you wont get it all out on a 111s without doing this. Fitting of the Hurricane is straight forward if you follow the supplied instructions. Put everything back together and go off for a blast, passenger window down if possible.
Good upgrade imho.

Well took delivery today of the hurricane and and started the task of fitting about 18:00 hours.
completed about 20:30 ish, wasn't as bad as I thought but not as easy as I would have liked!
Managed to lose a 10mm socket somewhere behind the side grill and the door sill? Could not find it grrrrrr
Took the car for a quick blast, well pleased with the new noise however a problem has occurred I could do with some help with.
Just getting back onto the drive and the car cut out, rolled to bottom of drive and restarted, the car is not idling correctly trying to rev on its own, only a little but not right, anyone have any suggestions for me to try, apart from re fitting the old air box
Thanks

Don't see how you could fit the hurricane without taking the wheel off, nice design on the s2 111s for old box removal..

so in conclusions about the hurricane
2.5 hours work involved, not easy but do-able
about £180ish from elise-parts.
was it worth doing? definately a big yes, love the new roar to the car, can't really hear anything below 3000 rpm which is great when tootling around town, take it over that and the lion comes to life.
well pleased with the first tiny step down the upgrade path. just hope the engine settles down.

Have you check the idle screw is OK? did you reset the throttle position sensor?

Key in ignition with drives door open.
Turn on single click to power accessories (don't start the car)
Depress throttle slowly all the way 5 times
Turn off
Start car as normal.
