MikePMC Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Well the Lotus has left me, sold to the highest bidder. I am now without a Lotus for the first time since 2004!!! I booked a track day this weekend in Wales, and I'm without a Lotus!! It was meant to be a good weekend away but I just have the MG-ZR now. I don't feel "part of the community" now! What am I going to do???????????????????????????????????????? I've met some fantastic people here and I can honestly say, this place along with the meets has made me feel happy in a "sad "part of my life. Driving is an important part of my life and I can honestly say driving a Lotus has been the highlight of my "career". Just wanted to say thanks to everyone. This is a fantastic place to be even if it stems from cyberspace!! Mike
Deleted_User Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 bloody hell Mike - SHOCKED Make sure you stick around, don't be a stranger
MikePMC Posted November 13, 2008 Author Posted November 13, 2008 bloody hell Mike - SHOCKED Make sure you stick around, don't be a stranger Shocked?? I feel sick, lonely infact! The Wales midnight run still comes as one of the great times! I've modded the MG to around 190bhp, but it's no Lotus! Mike
strees Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Mine is also up for sale ... so can understand the feeling
PeterField Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Blimey Mike, where did that come from? Hope everything's ok mate and the sale was planned? Don't be a stranger anyway, keep in touch. Hope you're 'back in the fold' sometime soon.
Steve J Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I expected this to be another thread about your clutch, Mike Why sell? If it's financial then you could pick up a decent S1 for £7k or less
jez o Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I only met you on the midnight run Mike, but I thought that car was a grafted-on part of you!! I bet you'll be back in one again in the future.
Laura Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 shocked to read this too Mike, hope everything is ok and you make another lotus purchase in the future.
Daniel Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Mike - Noooo! Now who are we going to cheer on around redgate at Donny? You are a legend there There's always a px seat in mine if you ever fancy a run, albeit a little more sedately driven than yours!
surrealillusions Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 dont be a stranger mike. you were perhaps the looniest driver i had around donny that one time i had a px with you..
Ladders Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 So when you getting the next one then? Well stay in touch whatever happens, I will miss your insane driving - I've never driven the Evo triangle so fast trying to keep up with you! Did you just get fed up with having to fix it all the time in the end? You racing next year?

Did you just get fed up with having to fix it all the time in the end? You racing next year? Cheers Dave, I'll miss the car and all the trouble that came with it. It was fantastic fun to drive and as you know bloody quick once I got the suspension set up as it should. Steve, Ironically, the clutch was just fine since the genuine article was refitted! I sold it for a reason, that reason remains a secret at the moment! Mike
