Reunited with the iconic car that bears her name, Elisa Artioli paid tribute to one of the most
renowned and lightweight sports cars ever made, the Lotus Elise, and drove her first ever laps of
the Hethel test track.
Returning to the home of Lotus in Hethel, Elisa was reunited with the second Elise ever built, and
the first built down the production line, a car with which she was photographed 1996. As well as the
surprise reunion with the Elise, she took to the famous Hethel test track for a series of laps behind
the wheel in a Lotus Exige Sport 410 and Evora GT410 Sport.
The granddaughter of Lotus’ then Chairman, Romano Artioli, Elisa was the original inspiration for
the car’s name, and was present for its launch in 1995.

  • Elise S2 door waist seals

Hi  I am currently looking at the possibility of getting a number of Elise s2 door waist seal made up. I have sought a manufacturer that is able to produce but requires considerable investment in tooling and getting first batch in stock. This all came about after trying to source a seal for my S2 111, difficult to find and crazy prices. Also believe the same seals can be used on the Vauxhall vx220. would anybody out there be interested, will be trying to get them on the market for less

    Zinc Plating help and recommendations

Hi all, Currently part way through doing a suspension refresh.  Today took the wishbones and uprights to be zinc plated only for them to be turned away as they didn't want to acid dip them for fear of embrittlement. In fairness I'd only given the uprights light wire brushing and the wishbone were as they were when they came off the car.   Just wanted to know for those who have zinc plated theirs what state did you send them in? does it sound like this company was just being picky or lo

Hello, New to Forum Specifiying a new Lotus

Just thought I woudl say hi. Active on other forums and always found them to be a great like minded commuinity. Like most here (if not all) I love my cars and driving which has naturally lead me to Lotus.  I enjoy track driving and wanted something relatively cost affective to run, capable and reliable and hoping Lotus maybe the answer. I started looking at used Lotuses but went for a test drive in a Sport220 Elise and found it very enjoyable indeed. I also managed to blag a pasenger ride i

    When to replace Bilstein springs

I have 2 leaking rear shocks at the moment on my 2005 111S. I was thinking of getting get all 4 rebuilt while I'm at it. What im wondering is, do the springs need replacement after 14 years? and if so would it be a better option financially to go for new NSS?

    Suspension refresh advice

I'm after some advice please, from those on MLOC that have more technical knowledge than me - which is probably most of you! My car is going in to Gav's in January to 'refresh' the suspension.  The wishbones are coming off and need rustproofing - I'm thinking POR 15, is that best? And should I have them passivated first? Also, what bushes should I use? I don't want it to be harsh as it is mostly used on the road. And what about arb bushes? Are there any of those to avoid? Any
