I popped up there last week due to a problem with my dampers. I’ve never had any issues getting in touch with them. They do have some odd working hours which maybe the issue.

I’ve always found Dave and the guys at Bilstein really easy to deal with both over the phone and in person. They also been happy to advise how to do certain jobs as DIY tasks rather than sending in the dampers.

All in all top group.

I had my dampers and springs media blasted and re-painted as they were noted on the MOT as being rusty! The front dampers are now on their way to Bilstein, Leicester for a mechanical refurb. They estimate a 2 week turn round at the moment. I'll post some photos when I get them back.

Well - got the dampers back finally! 2 weeks turned in to 6 weeks, and only after many phone calls chasing, on a daily basis towards the end. Lost count of number of times mine were next!

When they did arrive they were packed next to each other in a bag so that they rubbed against each other, metal to metal!

And the new stickers were placed upside down so they had to send new replacement ones.

Not impressed!

Realised I never posted an update about mine. I had similar issues with regards to delays, took longer than expected and had similar excuses, but it wasn't much of an issue to me, as I timed it for when the weather was poor and I wasn't likely to be driving it.

They replaced one entire body with a spare they had on a shelf, as mine was badly damaged. They machined 4 new 'rods', and barely added any more onto the price. I was very happy with that.

In terms of packing, they were packed pretty well, and were certainly separated so they wouldn't rub together.

Car's been fine with them since. As I don't do loads of miles, I can't say it's a night and day difference.
