New Owner - Help x 2

Hi all,

My son and I are new owners of a 2005 Elise 111R and we need a little help with a couple of things!  We did manage to find Lotus in the Peak today but didnt know where to start!

 

1. The alarm - it went off on the first night we had it last night. No idea why - so we just lock it now with the key, hoping it wont go off again, so far so good.  Does anyone know of a mechanic near Sheffield who can either test it all or remove the alarm?

2. Also - when we go on holiday can i remove the battery to ensure the neighbours dont suffer any more false alarms?

3. Anyone know of any Sheffield (or close by - derbyshire / yorkshire) Lotus mechanics, not sure where to get it serviced etc!

I know of Foulds Motors in Holmfirth, or Performance Autocare in Knaresborough. Both Lotus specialists

Important thing is to get it sorted, not remove it.  As a factory-fitted alarm / immobiliser, your insurance will be invalid without it.  Good luck.
