Paul_Con
Now maybe it's just me but I am sure that originally the S2 had L-O-T-U-S written along the length of the rear in silver lettering and then in around 2003 the badging (and side decals I think) were changed and the rear had just a simple Lotus emblem badge on the rear in the centre. Now, I see pictures of the updated 2006 Elise and they have seemingly gone back to L-O-T-U-S letters along the length of the Rear Am I correct or is my head up in the clouds while I wait impatiently to collect my new wheels on Saturday?! darren5591
yep , changed back to the letters now. Apparantly they got stolen very easy (the badge) and i personally think it looks better with letters anyway if its an 06 it will have the letters. Paul_Con
Can't believe that Lotus are going to de-value my lovely new (well, second hand 2003) car before I have even collected it by reverting back to previously used lettering

Paul_Con
Just buy some an apply! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah... you make it sound so simple! Some people should not be aloud to touch things, especially where tools, prising, or sticking are involved. I think I will run the risk of some wannabe trying to remove my Lotus badge and use it as a necklace (think I am showing my age there) and leave things as they are i.e. in the correct place
Snapper
I like the badge because the letters are cheap sticker. On my last Lotus, a S2 111s I had the stickers taken off and the badge put on.
JohnnyM
i removed the round badge and put the letters on. looks much better IMO. still got the badge on the shelf at home if anyone wants it. JM
Jonathan E
Paul, If you buy the letters I'll happily put them on for you and remove the badge, the whole process takes only a few mins and looks far better for it imho. When I ordered my 111r I asked Lotus if they would put the letters on rather than the badge only to be told that it wasn't possible due to production schedules. Needless to say my car now has the letters about £8 from your Lotus dealer iirc. I'm in Shrewsbury btw. Regards Jon
Snapper
If I was going to keep the letter on my old car I was going to source proper metal ones that would stand out. I think that they would look far better. IMHO
Fiona
Yup - we did this. Get the letters for £3 each on Ebay.

May well take you up on your kind offer Jon after owning the car for a few weeks and deciding which variation of badging I prefer (I think even my PC is trying to tell me something, spell check ‘badging’ and it comes back as ‘bodging’!)
