Elaine Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Dunno what my Esprit is - its one of 40 built in 89 but there are still a few on ebay Order a Certificate of Provenance for it, we're just waiting for ours to come. We went for the whole hog, so it's £54, but I think it's usually about £35-£40. http://www.lotuscars.com/gb/ownership/certificate-provenance E&R.
TimSportsTourer Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 OOh, Elaine! That's a cool idea. I might just do that. I think my car was the 4th S4 (from memory). There's not many of them left, so it's no surprise that the S4s is even more exclusive. I'd love a certificate like that. Actually, part of the problem is that the Lotus log book has the wrong engine number typed into it. It only differs by 1. I bet someone had a pile of the sheets of paper and got them mixed up and typed that the next car's engine was in mine, etc. The DVLA have it right (luckily). It would be interesting to see what engine they think they really put in it. It could come back wrong, of course...
