kayj_prod Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 How about these ! http://www.autobulbs...s-NEW-pair.html I fitted those to my S1 and they are great!
rocketian Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Hi - I find the standard front lighting on my Elise IIIR very poor. With the new MOT rules coming into force (HID - washers), anyone got any bright ideas of how to get decent illumination on front dips, full beam and driving lamps? I presume no fixes for missing washer units....? All advice welcomed. Thx all. I have just upgraded the bulbs in my 111R. Put Ring Ultima 120 in the dips and Night breaker plus in the MB, and LED in side lights. Changing bulbs can be a pig so do them all. My bulbs came from Amazon with each set being about £17, the LEDS were just a few quid. To fit them you have to remove the wheel arch liner - if the top screw on the liner is seized, just drill the head off. It goes into one of those folded clip things on the other side and they only cost about £1 - even from Paul Matty. You don't need to take the wheels off, but it is much easier if you do - specially if you need to drill the screw out - and you can drop a new set of brake pads in at the same time. Very cheap upgrade and well worth it - the difference is a bit like the difference between night and day!
