Fort William and the area of Glen Nevis for a start. Great roads, and take a hike up Ben Nevis while you're there :(

Also, if you can get up there, do some island hopping around Skye, Mull, and Lewis. My parents took me & my bro on a holiday around the Isles when we were younger, really beautiful area. Have a stop over in the Lake District?

Quite fancy that myself :P

West is more scenic than east. I've got some good routes I'll post up details of over the winter. the Belach-Na=Ba to Applecross, although not a drivers road, needs to be done.

I've also got a good route through the borders that I'll post up at some point.

Did you manage to download the route book for the second trip OK.

Everything downloaded thanx.

Just rambling through things now. ;)

Looks like I need to start saving the pennies for the petrol.

For somewhere to stay I can HIGHLY recommend here:

We have stayed there three times now in the last couple of years. If you want some peace and quiet plus a real home from home to come back to at the end of a day, I don't think this can be beaten. It's ideally placed to get to pretty much anywhere in the Highlands too (we've been right up to the northwest of Sutherland, Skye, Glen Coe, Wester Ross, Cairngorms, all in a day - not all on the same day mind!)
