Snapper
I am after help trying to get a sensible quote for a 111r, run as a second car despite having a very good driving record. They don't like my central Birmingham Post Code or my occuption... Photographer. I have tried Esteem, 1st Alternative, Couldn't get Confused.com web site to quote. Anyone give me some names and numbers of other good insurance brookers... Please.
Kris H
Jamie - may be a long way round but it might be worth trying to play the second cheapest off against the cheapest and see how far you get by doing this repeatedly - have heard of quite a few who will beat any price given and if you keep doing it long enough - that's about all that I can think of though. Does your job have to be photographer? Couldn't it be media or cameraman or something?

Scott_Mac
It does seem to vary.... some people get great quotes from Elephant, Admiral, Esteem etc... whereas they are crap for me. I got quoted: Adrian Flux - £950 Eggar Lawson - £700 Tesco - £
dobbo
Direct Line - 560, but no track days. Been the best for me 3 years running now. NU Direct before that was good for my first year. These 2 probably only any good for non-modded cars. If you have mods, you'll need one of the specialists (see other posts above)
Kris H
Agree about DL for modded cars - couldn't really take the chance of changing when I was in the middle of a claim, so they took the piss, and then sent their mothers around to take this piss about the mods as well.
