Mark H Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Yep I read that, some good detective work Moving this to general talk section.
Greg.g Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 I have been reading this thread over on seloc. Great news that they have found the elise. Lets nail the scumbags now
bazza Posted September 4, 2007 Author Posted September 4, 2007 i am glad that i did post those video on these forum!but seem something going on at PH!
kimbo Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 For a time I found myself involved in this !!! I have just posted on SELOC as follows.... Morning everyone..... From my perspective ...... 1) SELOC come out of it smelling of roses 2) George, in particular, and Sun are to be congratulated 3) Bring back hanging 4) When the car could not be found a few of us decided to approach 'the media' for help. They have now jumped on the story and, at the appropriate time, SELOC should use this opportunity for publicity and a possible 'donation' 5) PH have upset a few people (including me) but they will survive and hopefully get over the, sometimes, personal criticism. I think their moderator set up sucks. 6) I'm going back to MLOC where things are much calmer. 7) Could not believe the none response from the dealers when seeking info - other than Lipscombe 8) Best of luck to Paul O and his colleagues in 'sorting' this out. Nice to have met you all and congratulations once again. kimbo Basically Bazza discovered the video, George ('Esprit') who in New Zealand (!!) got the ball rolling to track down the vandals and Paul O is a copper and SELOC member. I think the SELOC thread is over 50 pages long. The PH second thread is 20 pages long however they deleted the first thread so a few of us (Scotto was involved) set up a Facebook entry which is 10 pages long. So if you want a novel to take on holiday (and we are only at Chapter 1) you can print off the 80 or so total pages. It makes good reading if you like detective stories. Anyway back to MLOC ..... what's been happening here? - Sonya discovered that photo yet?
Deleted_User Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Phew, this is like coming home from a few days away. Kim, amazing effort on the FaceBook thread.. Sue (wife) couldn't understand what the hell was going on last night ...... she thought I was in deep trouble as I had the Sun phoning me up all the time with their first call (plonkers) around midnight. Peeps who own Lotuses are completely bonkers - imagine a guy on the other side of the world (George) with a completely opposite time frame taking this on board and finding the idiots who did it, help with locating the car/owner, reporting it to the police and dealing with the media. I am wondering if it is worth my mentioning that I had my Mini Clubman keyed in the 1970's Yeh lets hope that the idiots who did it get 'sorted'.

JonS Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 What a story! It just goes to show what a tight knit community Lotus owners/fans has. But how ironic if they get convicted or what ever and the evidence that sinks it is their own video footage! Complete knob jockeys! Brings back too many bad memories of my run-in back June with a scumbag chav. (incidentally if anyone has any video footage of that, I'd more than welcome gettin that b**tard back!)
Chorlton Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 and this thursday is waterman pub meeting you guys coming!? Oh bugger almost forgot my own pub meet..
AshGTi16v Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 i always been an "arm for a arm" i had things done to my cars im informed the police but never any luck (seem abit useless around here), so ive lived in my area all my life and find it quite easy to find out who done or is going to do what. and things go up in smoke.
leigh Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 You see thats the problem with modern society, their is no 'cause & effect' any longer. In some countries hands would have been removed for such action, vive la revolution! Jealousy is a powerful thing, from which i am sure this childish action stemmed
AshGTi16v Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 hit the nail straight on the head there. police are to soft an if it dont make them abload of money they dont want to know. rather go and stand on the road side with a lazer giving out points and fines to people just trying to do there jobs well. Ash
gerags Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 The story is on the www.metro.co.uk/ website. The last line says that the police are aware of the story and they are "not currently investigating" the issue.
Ladders Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Thought the idea was to keep it to owerselves until the Police could prosecute?!
